General
What is Strata?
Strata is a browser extension that works inside QuickBooks Online. It adds nav shortcuts, tab management, bulk operations, journal entry tools, and data cleanup capabilities directly into your QBO interface — so you don't have to leave the platform to access the tools you actually need.
What browsers does Strata work in?
Strata works in any Chromium-based browser — Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Opera.
Does Strata work with Canadian QuickBooks Online?
Yes. Strata is built for Canadian QBO. ROW and US QBO compatibility is in progress.
Is my data safe?
Strata works within your existing QBO session — it never stores your financial data, never transmits it to external servers, and never requires access beyond what you've already granted to QBO itself. Your data stays in QBO.
Pricing
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Strata Free gives you essential daily tools at no cost — enough to meaningfully improve how you work in QBO every day. Strata Pro unlocks the full feature set. Contact us for details on what's included in each tier.
Is there a free trial for Pro?
Yes. Pro includes a 30-day free trial with no credit card required.
How does per-user pricing work?
Each person at your firm who uses Strata needs a seat. Pricing scales down as your team grows. Contact us for current pricing.
Can I pay annually?
Yes. Annual plans are discounted off the monthly rate.
What currency are prices in?
All prices are in CAD.
Technical
Does Strata slow down QBO?
No. Strata is designed to be lightweight and runs alongside QBO without affecting its performance. It only activates the tools you open.
What happens if Intuit updates the QBO interface?
We maintain Strata actively and push updates when QBO changes affect the extension. It's one of the things we monitor continuously.
Does Strata work with QBOA and IAS?
Yes. Strata is designed with accounting firms in mind — QBOA support is a core part of the product. We're also actively developing features specific to the Intuit Accountant Suite.
Migrations & Services
What systems can you migrate from?
We've handled migrations from QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50, Sage 300, Great Plains / Dynamics GP, AccountEdge, and Business Central, among others. If you can export your data, contact us — we can likely build a migration path.
How long does a migration take?
It depends on the source system, data volume, and complexity. A straightforward QuickBooks Desktop to QBO migration can be completed in a few days. Complex multi-year migrations from legacy systems take longer. We scope every migration individually.
Do you offer ongoing support after a migration?
Yes. We offer post-migration support to make sure the first few months in the new system go smoothly.
